[] Hi All, I am new to the whole laptop thing so please bear with my questions.
I'm a student so I dont have alot of money to spend on a laptop, I'm looking in the $1000 - $1200(max) Range. I think that Ive decided to get a Toshiba, because I like their feature/price ratio. Mostly I'll be doing schoolwork but I definately want to play games and listen to music.
Anyway, I wanted to know If it would be better to purchace online directly from Toshiba, or should I go to an actual store to buy it. I'm kind of nervous about having an expensive piece of electronics shipped to me, I'd rather pick it up myself. I will be financing, and right now it seems Toshiba has a good deal with no Payments or Interest for 12 months +20% off select computers. In store may not have this deal.
So whats everyone's experience with laptop shopping online, Plus if anything goes wrong, I dont want to have to ship it back.
P.S. Whats better, the "M" Series the "P" Series or the "A" series?

The benefit, as you've noticed, of buying in store is the ability to return it, at least for the first 30 days. You will have to pay tax. One of the better stores to buy from is Costco, if you know someone who has a membership. They have a six month no questions asked return policy. They tend to do more HP than Toshiba, but worth checking out. You will get it cheaper online. Sometimes buying online is not the best escpecially when you are spending that kind of money. Read the return policy carefully and ask questions if you have them. At a lot of online retailers, once you open the box, it is yours. If you have a problem your only recourse is to go to the manufacturer. If you get something you don't like you are stuck with it. Sometimes there are good deals to be had on ebay. You have to wait for it to come along though. Good Luck.
I know things, things that could get me killed
