I'm looking for a good 14" laptop. And so far I've been looking at either Sony CA series or Toshiba Tecra R840. I would've ordered Sony a long time ago if not the stupid colors on their CA range.

The first alternative to that for me is the R840 but it looks to me that the maximum resolution they are allowing you to choose on their website is 1366x768. Am I missing something or is that really the best they can do?

Is there any other place where I could choose my specs or they don't have anything like a product builder?

    Thanks in advance!

    P.S.
I'm in UK by the way.

Tecra in US have 1600x900 screen upgrade as an option. Might want to contact Toshiba and see what the problem is.

It's the same thing in Sweden. A 900P version of the R840 would be very nice! I contacted Toshiba Sweden but have not yet heard back from them.

Please let me know if you get any info on the UK end.

For me the keyboard is a major problem with US purchase, but perhaps it can be swapped for a local one at a reasonable cost?

It's going to be different in UK case as well. We have a different layout to you in Sweden.
