    hello all
Like a title, is it possible to do that?

Toshiba European website has a bunch of system drivers for XP.
in other words, it should be able to install XP.
So i tried but XP operating system disk said it could not find HDD.

if anyone installed XP successfully then could you help me out?

    thanks in advance

Seems like XP needs the SATA drivers. There are three things you can do

    1) Look through the BIOS for an entry to disable native SATA support or similar(wording varies from BIOS to BIOS). This should help you to install XP and then install the SATA drivers and reenable SATA support in the BIOS.

    2) If there is no such option in the BIOS, then try using a external floppy and load the SATA drivers and install them during XP installation.

    3) Slipstream the SATA drivers into XP and create a new installation CD.

The SATA drivers should be available from Toshiba or from the chipset manufacturer(Intel I presume).
