I'm considering extending my warranty (standard warranty) from 1 year to either 3 or 4 years.
Is it worth it? I can fix any problem that should arise, my only consideration is whether parts would cost me more that the warranty (about 68 bucks a year)

What parts could end up costing me more than say $200 assuming I extend it to 4 years? and what are the chances of those parts going bad?

    BTW I have a toshiba satellite a215-s4697...

    Expensive parts: screen & MB
Chances: I would bet that something would go wrong within 3-4 years and since it's likely going to contain the MB (since everything is built to it) which would likely cost at least $300.

Therefore, get the warranty just as a safeguard in case something happens.
PS. Plus it'll be very hard to find parts unless you special order them from Toshiba which'll cost a bunch extra (if they still make the part that is).

With technology it's almost always a good idea to get the extended warrenty with so many intricate parts something is bound to go wrong within 4yrs.

I live in Canada and the option to extend my warranty for another year or two is like $300 so I said like screw that. I would surely have taken it for $68 a year rather than $150
