On the left side of the laptop there are two slots for PCI cards on top of each other. It doesn't have anything in it like other laptops, toshibas have a vcr shutter kind of covers. More convienent and looks better. The problem is that whenever I move my hand on top of the left palm area which is over the slots, I get a clickity clack kind of sound. It is so irritating that I am considering selling the machine all together. Anyone has the same problem? Anyone know what I can do? All suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Put something in those slots! I mean, it would be kinda a waste just to fill those spots.. You could get an inexpensive dedicated sound card.. You could get a couple firewire or usb ports.. That is what I would do.. You would definitly spend more money selling your lappy and buying a new one, than filling in those spots with a couple of ultra cheap cards..

Cheap sound cards = 29 dollors
Cheap usb cards = I think around 15?

You could get a firewire port, and a usb port.. then you would possible use this stuff in the future.

I also might look into getting some plastic "dummies" to fill the slots as a more inexpensive alternative.
