This past weekend I saw that Toshiba had a deal on a customizable M60 so when my credit voucher arrived on Saturday I was researching pretty hot and heavy for the best deal. Then they dropped the price a little bit on the M60 so I was sold. Here's the specs on what I ordered.
Toshiba Satellite M60-S8112TD
Intel Pentium M Processor 760 (2.00GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz), Microsoft Windows XP Professional,
Peacock Blue,
256MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM (256MBx1),
(already ordered 1 stick of 1 GB RAM from NewEgg.com for $XX wasn't going to pay Toshiba's $XXX for the same thing)
17" Diagonal Widescreen XGA w/TruBrite™Technology (1440x900),
ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 with 128MB DDR SDRAM,
60GB HDD (5400rpm), (deciding if I want to sell this and get a Hitachi 7200 rpm 100 GB drive from NewEgg.com or not)
8X DVD SuperMulti drive (Double Layer),
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG (802.11b/g),
Li-Ion Battery (8 Cell, 4300mAh)
This should be a heck of an improvement over my POS Toshiba Satellite 5005-S504 that had the overheating problem (1 reason why I didn't want a desktop processor in my next laptop that and the P35 weighs 10 lbs compared to about 7.5 here).
This was supposed to take 8-10 business days to build so I am hoping to have it within 2 weeks and will write a review shortly after. This looks like a pretty decent setup to me, does anyone else have an M60 or is pondering about getting one?

Thanks xAMDvsIntelx and BiG_B too (I guess). I hope that it goes alot better than my last laptop, and I'll be sure to keep you informed. As of 4:00 on Monday though it says that it is still being packed, as it has been since last Tuesday. Hopefully it won't take too long, my gig or ram came today, and now I'm getting pretty hyped.
Later!

Guess what buddy, my M60 is coming faster than I expected, when I ordered it with free ground shipping I was figuring on at least a week, but somehow they bumped it up to Worldwide Express, which is guaranteed 3 day delivery to the US. So it's coming today! YEAH! Not too bad for custom ordering it 10 days ago. Now today is going to take forever but I am going to do a few benchmarks on it first before I pop in my gig of RAM and then do a few more and after a little bit I'll be sure to post my review, take it easy guys!
