I've recently had the L300D fail on me. A few times, it did not want to register any AC unless I really jiggled the cord, and now it is not registering any at all. The battery is also really bad, so unfortunately I cannot test if the laptop is working with just battery, but it could very likely be a problem with the cord.

I've taken it apart and examined the power cable in the laptop, there seems to be no tear or anything visibly wrong with it...but when fully plugged in, nothing lights up and I cannot turn it on.

Anybody experienced anything similar? I think it's time for a new computer anyway, but I would like to salvage this one if I can, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Turned out to be the AC Adapter (probably the prong piece) that was the issue

Glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue and it was not something major; and sorry none of us were able to assist you.

    Happy Holidays!
