    I am a newbie.

I am now a proud owner of a Toshiba A60-S159 and a BENQ PB2120 Projector. When copnnected by a VGA cable I can use the projector to display the contents of my Desktop. I can also use programs such as MS Powerpoint to display data. But what I do not seem able to do is play a DVD film using the laptop and get that projected - the programs I use are Windows Media Player or InterVideo WinDVD.

I would be grateful for any (polite) help given.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You need to set your projector as your "primary" display. You should be able to do that in your video settings. You know that your projector has become the primary display, when you press the "identify" button and the number '1' flashes on the projector display.

Most computer video cards only display video onto the primary display.
