The problem is what the subject say...
The laptop powers on for 5 seconds and dies repeatatively
It is a used but absolutly mint condition Toshiba Satellite A35-S209
It has the AC adaptor and battery. the battery shows a red indicator led. AC power is green. the ac adaptor is 19V 4.74A output by ACBel
The fans just make a noise, nothing on the screen and it dies and you can't stop it from cycling like this unless all power is terminated.
Please let me know what to do or what additional information i need to provide. Thank you

It could be a motherboard problem, in which case the cost of replacement will be high. If the notebook is under warranty, then it may be best to ask Toshiba to repair it. It doesn't sound like a power problem, as the notebook is turning on at least, but not for very long.

Well I paid 450 for this thing and it was supposed to be perfect so If we cant figure anything out its going right back to him... (no more private deals on ebay)

If you received the laptop in this condition from ebay when the auction claimed it was working then I would contact the seller immediately for a refund.
It could also be a power supply issue. -
The spec on the power supply differ from that of the specs on toshiba.com
the amperage is lower on the psu i believe
specs...
