I have a Toshiba Laptop Satellite L455D-S5976.
When the power is off, and i try to turn it back on, it won't turn on.
So to make it turn on, i have to:
Take out the batter, unplug it, and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Then i plug it back in, and the power light goes on then i can turn it on.
when its finally on, the Time/date i reset so i have to change it to the current Time/date.
whats the problem here? how can i fix it?
also when i move the screen back and forth, i can hear little electric noises on the right side, where the power input is.
i don't know if its the screen that is not as "smooth" as it should be, or a power problem.
i just bought it 5 months ago.

I am only guessing. If the time resets itself, the rechargeable button cell on the motherboard is dying. Now, since the AC plug is having problem too, there is a good chance the plug might be faulty and cause the batteries unable to recharge. I would remove the battery, hook up the power with the computer off. Hold the AC adapter plug and turn it in different direction slowly and see if the power was cut off. If it does, the plug has to be replaced or repaired. There is also a slim chance the power wires were not well organized and being rubbed against other parts and eventually short themselves. If that's the case, replacing that plug should be a simple job.
Laptop won't turn on sometimes.
