I restored my SLi1 to factory condition using the recovery disc and while it recognizes my net connection it won't connect or ask for the password.

I want to update it before I show it off to sell.

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm still stuck.

I got it to ask for the password once, then it said it failed to receive... whatever and I haven't got that far again.

Also, I've noticed that while the name of my connection is listed, none of the others around me are. When XP was on the machine there were 2-3 others.

I would start by updating the wireless driver. The recovery disc will have the original driver. You should also consider updating the other drivers as well.

I went to try it one more time before I started searching for updated drivers on my other laptop and the old laptop decided the internet could now start working.
