    Live Recording with satellite p100-429

    Loaded Soundforge onto my laptop with no problems,but when i go to record, the recording levels are showing that there is some kind of input coming through,even though i havent plugged in my input device yet.when i plug in my device and record,then playback what i have recorded it sounds ok but there is a buzzing sound in the background.i have tried muting all other volume and recording settings but the same thing happens...any advise??? Also the same thing happens when i use a diffrent recording software.i.e Nero
    Anyone Help??

    That's probably fan noise or interference. On board audio is usually crap. However don't go looking for an outboard solution either with your particular laptop, sound is going to be a major headache.
