My hinges on my satellite l505D S9646 are coming loose. Does any body have a tutorial guide on how to tighten the hinges or know what to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know whether it would be possible to tighten them. You may have to replace the hinges, or send it back for repairs.

If you are still under warranty, you should be able to get away with it, if you can convince them that it's bad enough. ;)

You can also tighten the hinges yourself but you have to disassemble your laptop which voids the warranty.
I'm pretty sure they'll do it for you if you send it in though even if it's not too bad yet.

Here's a picture of the screws that secure and tighten the hinges (marked in red): Diagram
You need to tighten the screws marked in red.
First make sure that the ones which are farthest apart have a strong, tight fit.
Once you've done that slowly tighten the ones which are closer to the inside of the case (These are specially made for the purpose of adjusting the force needed to move the hinges).

Here's a guide on how to disassemble your laptop:
    Part 1
    Part 2
After you have removed the top cover you can access the screws.

This guide was taken from the thread How to disassemble Toshiba Laptops.
so please give them credit for their excellent work on disassembly guides!

    I hope that helped...
