My son claims he just lost his NVIDIA GeForce, he cant play Mine Craft and other games. It ran great until last week.
I just did a reboot factory settings and he still says its not in the Laptop.
He looked for it on the hard drive and in the control panel.

    Any thoughts or ideas.

I am ready to send the unit to Toshiba because it's still under warranty.

    X775-Q7270 Model.

    Thanks guys and gales

That laptop has Nvidia Optimus; can switch between Intel graphics and Nvidia graphics for increased battery life. Check if Optiums can switch between the two, maybe the Intel graphics is on.

Check in display properties or something. Wish I could be of more help, but I don;t know how to use Optimus as my laptop doesn't have it.

    This might help: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m11x/621383-disable-optimus.html

Go to device manager, open, then scoll down to display adapter or devices and open. Both nVidia and Intel adapters will be shown. If any has yellow triangle, something is disabled or driver problem.

The easiest way is just to uninstall/reinstall the latest GeForce drivers.

If that doesn't work, take a hammer...
