Could anyone please post the Express Media Application for the M100?

I reinstalled the system with my own copy of windows XP Pro, but forgot to make an installation cd for the express media function. I do have a recovery CD but i do not want to reinstall XP home just to get the application. I did take a brief look at the recovery DVD contents but could not find anything that looked like the application that i need. The application is not to large if anyone can host an image file or email the app to me please post here or pm me.

Thanks Again...It would save me like a grillion hours.

I don't have the M100, but I do know that it is not on the recovery DVD. When you first get the laptop, there is an icon that you click on to make the disc for Media Express.

Yeah stupid me forgot to make the cd. Technically, the recovery cd must house the files since there is an option to return the notebook to factory condition including the express media function. I don't believe that the file is accessible since the recovery cd doesn't copy the files but just restores a drive image.

Aren't there any other M100 owners out there? The file should only be around 66MB (i know this because i have a cd for an M60 but unfortunately it does not work in this machine).

    Thanks Again :)

The name of the Application is Express Media Recovery CD. It should be assessed by double clicking on the Recovery Disc Creator icon on the XP desktop, or by selecting the application from the start menu.

The application can be installed before or after installing Windows.

If you do find a copy please let me know!

    Thanks.

No, there isn't a disc. You have to make one yourself by clicking on the icon that says Express Media creator. If you didn't do that before you did the recovery, you're probably out of luck.

I don't know how to make a screenshot, but it is a round disc with a red arrow going around inside it. It says Recovery Disc Creator (Express Media Player).

Did a recovery because it bugged me and guess what? No option for recovery disk for express media player!!! Guess you were right the recovery DVD does not contain the application, the option is only there if one does not reformat the drive.

****...majorly screwed. Now i need to find someone with the exact same notebook. I already tried an express media recovery for the Toshiba M60 & A105, both interupted by a warning message stating that the installation was for another machine and incompatible.

On top of wasted time now i have to reinstall XP Pro again.

GRZ530: If you did not reformat then you should still have a partition on your drive that holds the recovery disk maker for express media player. If so then you can simple use the recovery DVD found in the box and restore to 'factory state' and then you should find the application that blondie56 is referring to on your desktop or start menu when the recovery is complete. If you did reformat the drive then forget about finding it cause it is gone.
