i can't connect to the schools ethernet (havent tried any other ethernet port) my friends DELL Broadcom can connect (same port same wire)... i am on the intel 100 VE (drivers say 10/100VM and 100 VM :shrugs :) first i was on stock drivers 10/100, i tried disabling and enabling the card, it will "aqcuire" an address for about a second and just say network cable is unplugged. so i went to intels site, downloaded latest drivers and installed 100 VM same results acquire network address for about 1 second network cable unplugged

i ran some self tests and i get

    link test:
Could not establish link. The cable may
be disconnected or have a bad connection.
For more information, run the Cable test
    if supported by the adapter

    Cable test: Crossover mismatch detected.

its been a while since i have messed w/ ethernet so would be able to help me w/ these errors?
