    Hi,
When I turn on my Toshiba M30, after the intial toshiba bios screen, nothing happens. I can't access the bios and the windows CD-ROM won't boot. My hard drive is fine (i am able to access it from my PC), and also i checked each of my ram modules seperately and it still won't boot. Also, the boot screen has vertical lines running through it, short of like when your video card messes up. What could be wrong, and what could I check next?

    Thank,
    Chris

It sounds like its either the MOBO or the GPU. Is the GPU dedicated or integrated?

    It is a dedicated GPU.

Try booting through an external monitor and see if you get the same results.

I'd have to say I know for sure it has to either be the MOBO or the GPU. In any case, it probably won't be worth it to replace.
