What can I clean this screen with? What fluids, etc. Water? Windex? Any special cloths? It's got some marks on it that I wnat to rid of, but I don't wanna take any chances.

I have used paper towels and an alcohol solution in the past that i got with a cd-cleaner with brilliant results.

Main thing to sterr clear of is soap and anything abrasive, people will argue paper towels are rough...well depends on brand,i use bounty.

I might be wrong but i think its the isopropyl alcohol in cleaning products which actually does the main job of cleaning, its used in surgery so if its safe on your skin it should be ok for a laptop.

We just take a paper towel, wet it, then wring it out to the point that it does not drip. Then wipe the screen down. As long as you don't push real hard you won't damage the screen with this method. Use a sustained circular wipe pattern to remove hard to remove debris. Alchohol can damage the coating on the screen and should only be used to remove oil based debris the water will not get off.

Its a problem if you touch the screen with your grubby oily fingers after a big mac.

The worst offenders are never you though, its other people, why do other people feel they need to touch the screen?
do they think by touching it theyll get imortal powers or something?
