Ok I know this is old hardware, but was planning on giving this to my 9yr old. So installed windows 7, which seems to have worked fine. Then I decided to upgrade the 512MB to 2GB. Now the chips I got where some Ampo units from Newegg.

Now the machine is Freezing after running for a 5-10+ minutes. I have reinstalled just the 512MB to see if it is a memory compatibilty issue. What I am wondering if anybody knows of a good compatible memory available at Newegg.

I also am wondering if it has something to do with Power Management. I ask because I changed the default settings and it seemed to coincide with the freeze. That may just be random coincidence.

If anybody has any other thats would love to hear. Thanks
