I am most likely going to be buying an M40 in the near future. I stoped into Staples the other day to have a look at their demo model and I noticed that when I changed the screen resolution to a 4:3 aspect resolution (such as 1024x768) that instead of blacking off the sides of the screen, it stretched the image to fill the whole screen, resulting in distortion.

Is it possible to change a setting somewhere that will make the image display in the center of the screen with black borders on the sides instead of stretching to fill the whole screen when running in resolutions like 1024x768? Normally this would not be an issue; however, my concern is that when playing older games that do not suport wide screen mode that the display will be distorted.

    Thanks!

Yes you can, it's easily done through NVidia control panel's dipslay properties, you can set stretch, centered and stretch while keeping aspect ratio.

    It's flexible.
