Can the M40/45 blue led light be turned off? I saw this notebook in a shop today and have the feeling its going to bug me (esp when working or watching a movie in the darK). It distracts.

I am deciding between Sony FS and M40 45 series and cannot make my mind up. Completely stuck. Build quality, LCD, motherboard etc. are things that matter most to me. So suggestions are welcome.

i don't think if there are any options to turn off the blue light, maybe you can open the case and cut the power line of that LED. Howerver, to be more simple, I think you can just put some non-transparent material on top of and cover it, it'll then be "turned off"

    ...like a dime.

I have an M60 with the same light, and it never bothered me 'till you mentioned it.

It doesn't bother me, but you can cover it up with black scotchtape or something if you don't like it.
