I was about to buy the M40 because futureshop has it on sale at 1700$ CAN (1360$ US). However, Toshiba announced new laptops, and I was wondering if I should wait to see if the prices would go down some more, or buy it now before it stops going into production.
Also, can I get something extra out of the salesman at futureshop?
Thanks a lot!

oh yes, are any of machines announced today comparable to the M40 and is less cheap? I don't think so in my humble opinion. The Toshiba Tecra A5 is interesting but is probably more expensive (the centrino version).
Any thoughts? -
the M45 is the M40, in the U.S. the M40 is sold as the M45 (utterly confusing I know) so that new M45 config won't be specifically sold in Canada. In fact, all those announcements are for Toshiba America and not Toshiba Canada. The same notebooks will likely be available in both countries though at some point. It's really not worth waiting, no product is being replaced by what's being released and for the product upgrade announcments the old ones will just be sold until they run out and Toshiba won't create a fire sale on it.
