    Hi there,

Since a few days ago the wireless on my Toshiba Satellite M40-SF3 notebook stop functioning everytime it is started even if I leave the wireless button set to on. I need to switch the button off and then on again before I see the light comes on and getting wireless again. It is very annoying even though it is still function. :(

I never had this problem for 1/2 year until recently. Can anyone suggest what I can check before bringing it for repair (it is still under warranty)?

You help is much appreciated. Thanks.

    Jason

When you see the light go off can you still access the net?

When the light goes off I can't access the net. The problem is that everytime I boot up the notebook I have to turn the switch from on to off and then to on before the light comes on.

I did not install any new drivers in the past little while so I think this may be hardware issue.

    Thanks.

Well, I'd try updating the drivers to see if it has any effect on the problem.

Thanks for the advice. I already updated the driver but it's the same old story. I think I'll have toshiba checked out the problem since it is still under warranty.

    Hmm....

Did you update manually or did you use the Toshiba updates? The Toshiba updates are usually not updated on a regular basis by Toshiba. If you've already done that, then I support your idea of taking the notebook in to Toshiba - it might be a loose power connection between the WiFi and MOBO.
