I upgraded my BIOS to the latest 1.6 version on the Support page because the Sd Card slot was not working properly. After the reboot, my laptop complained of the wireless card state not being found (as if it's not turned on). The wireless light is on. Now in device manager, there is a bang (!) next to the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG network Connection. Also, I noticed that my graphics seemed to have been affected as when I open a window or do something CPU intensive, there will be grainy red dots flickering in the background. Any help fellas? appreciate it.

    Retro,

Was this BIOS designed for your notebook? I ask this because there have been new BIOS's released for the US based notebooks, but not in Canada. If you're in a different region and you downloaded a BIOS not from your region, this type of issue can happen. Best thing for you to try is to revert back to the original BIOS you had in the system and see if this helps. If so, than you can either re-try with the new BIOS or leave the system as is and contact Toshiba.
