"Please wait while Windows configures PhotoGallery"

Windows keeps trying to install this and asks for me to insert the CD whenever I try to play a movie on Windows Media Player, etc. How to I make it not do this? It is getting annoying and I don't even know or need PhotoGallery.

The app looks like it has overwritten the file associations relating to the media file types you're running. You can fix this by doing the following:

    1. Run Media Player (for v9.0 and above)
    2. Click on Tools Menu item -> Options -> File Types tab
    3. Here is where you can select which files are associated with WMP. Just select the ones you want and click OK. The nex time you run that specific video file type, WMP should open.

*** Note: Be selective on the association types. If yuo select all, file type that were associated to other programs you use will now open in WMP rather than the app you wanted.
