This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    M55 trouble with external VGA and Projector

    When I connect a projector to the VGA output and press function F5 to change modes and no matter what I try, the projector doesn't display anything. Totally at random the video will come on even when not at the computer. Checked all obvious ( at least to me ) possible causes. I believe it is software/hardware based and related to Toshiba as I have heard reports of the same behaviour from others with toshibas and different projectors.

    Any clues or input?
