    M60-159 Screen Problem

    My wife managed to spill water on her notebook and although it seems to be ok generally, the screen is really dark for some reason. Can anyone explain why and what might be a good solution? I can see the desktop but only from an extreme side angle.

    Is the brightness set to the highest setting?

    is also possible that your blacklight shorted out.

    sounds like your wife got water in the backlight inverter. The inverter runs at ~2000 volts AC so its very easy to short.
