Is the stock 4GB of ram split 2gb and 2gb? What do I need to do to bump it up to 6gb of ram? Also, are both my slots already taken up from factory with the 4gb of ram?

Look at HWiNFO32's entry under memory. This gives details of the memory in each slot so you can see if one or both slots are used. If you have 2 x 2GB then you need to change one to a 4GB module. If you have 1 x 4GB then you need to put a 2GB module into the empty slot.

Is HWiNFO32 a software that needs to be downloaded or is that located somewhere in the stock system?
