Hi, I bought my M645-S4070 last week. The Bios version was 1.50. I just updated it to the latest 1.70. Seems the fan is constantly running at 61% now, and the power consumption is ranging between about 4-5 watts higher than what it was when I had the bios version at 1.50.

What would cause that, or am I imagining things? If I do a system restore, will the Bios go back to 1.50? Is this adviseable? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think system restore would revert you back to 1.5. Maybe 1.70 was meant to increase the fan? Maybe they found a problem with heat and did it on purpose to alleviate the problem.
