It doesn't look like too bad of a machine. I have a thread below that has the specs of the M60 that I ordered. I ordered it 10 days ago thru toshibadirect and it's coming today, it said free ground shipping and they paid to have it Worldwide Express which is about $xxx and guaranteed 3 day delivery. If you are looking for a 15" screen that is a nice lappy especially for the price. You can always add more RAM if you want the nice 1 gig (which is what I ordered for mine) I ordered the standard 256 MB and for less than 1/4 of the price that Toshiba wanted, I bought a stick of 1 GB. If you end up ordering it be sure to post a review, I know we all appreciate it!

Yeah, I was also wondering why it's not listed on Toshiba's website. Is that 256MB x700 for real or is it yet another Futureshop typo? And if it is, is it really 256MB physical RAM or does it include 128MB of hypermemory?

I work at FutureShop. I actually believe it is 256mb X700 dedicated. I'm thinking of purchasing it myself. I was playing FEAR today on it to see it's capabilities. Aside from some noticeable tearing while the level was caching during the first moments of play, the tearing basically thereafter just looked like your average vertical sync offset (and, really, for 1700, was easily dismissed with the potential pleasure of upgrading that ram).

Other than that, wonderful performance for only 512mb of ram.

It runs Maya and Photoshop easily.

The rumour in the stores is that FE5 is, in fact, "FutureShop Exclusive." Really, though, I don't know.
