I am still working on this laptop.

The ORG problem was the Freeze at MUP.SYS.

Now i get a ATA #1, and ATA #0 Error right when i power the notebook on.. (Dead HD?)

It also needs a new keyboard as something was spilled on the current one, and i removed the old one.

Also need a CD drive to motherboard cable..

So, i am going to order a new hard drive, but i do not have the CD's for anything, so how am i going to install Win XP MEDIA 05 on to it?

When i got this notebook, there was only the OEM 60GB HD in slot 1. The 120GB OEM hard drive died already.

So i am going to replace that one 60GB with a 100GB 7200.

So i boot up the computer, and before i even see the Toshiba splash screen, i get on a black screen with white letters,

    ATA #1 ERROR
    ATA #0 ERROR

PXE-E61: Media test failure, Check Cable
    PXE-0M0F: Exiting intel boot agent
    Insert system disk in drive
    Press any key when ready.

    What should i do? Thanks!

You need an installation disk to start since there is no OS on the new drive. Try getting a hand on an external USB optical drive?

    cheers ...
