I've had my Satellite Pro P100 (Centrino Duo not Core2 :( ) for about 6 months now... I've bought it from new and its had an average amount of use. Its always been looked after, always kept clean, always take my watch off so it doesn't scratch the surface, etc. etc.

Just now I've noticed marks outlining where my palms are resting... looking at it straight on, you can't notice it... but its getting more and more noticeable.
I would get something to cover the palmrest but that just covers up the problem. Since its only 6 month old, I wouldnt say this is "fair" wear and tear - anyone got any ideas if I call Tosh would they take me seriously or laugh in my face?

    Cheers guys

There is another great notebook user like me with the same problem. I also clean my notebook every 1-2 days and I always take off my watch etc.

But I also have the same problem on my M1437G. The palm rests are all greyish now, why they should be in an aluminium-like colour. It is somehow not possible to get rid of it, I tried alcohol and all types of cleaning stuff.

One thing I learned though: always use stickers or some type of cover for your palm rests. Some notebooks are shipped with plastic still on the palms or with large logo's (Asus). Those protect your palm area too.

You could ask Toshiba but they won't help you I think. You could always try though, maybe they'll send you plastic to cover the palm area.

    Good luck.
