I'm currently working in the Middle East and was about to buy a new Toshiba (not sure whether to get a Satellite or a Qosmio, but that's another question!) when I noticed that the MCE in both was the old version.
Two questions: In order to upgrade to the 2005 version, do I have to contact the Toshiba website or do I go through Microsoft? Is this going to be a free upgrade or will I be charged (and, if so, how much?)
    Thanks.

You'll need to be charged, how much? I have no idea. But the other thing I can answer is that the Qosmio is better performing that the Satellite while the Satellite is cheaper than the Qosmio.
