I am a new laptop owner and a beginner. Some questions if anyone can help. The trial software, it is like the lo-jack, picture thing, free website trial. Stuff that would be considered bloatware. How do I delete it. When I go into Control Panel - Programs - uninstall they are not listed there.

What I did do for now is right click on the icon, selected properties, selected general tab, went down to attributes, checked off hidden, selected the advanced tab and checked off compress contents. Then applied. So they are off the desktop. But how can I find them again if I can figure out how to delete them??
    Kudos! Thanks!

I just right clicked the icon, selected properties, then under shortcut looked for target file to open's location. Then I went there and deleted it.

I can't remember, however, think they were under Program Files\Toshiba, so you may not be allowed under Vista to delete them. If you download the free program Winbubbles (just Google it), it has a selection that says take ownership of this folder, take ownership of this file and that usually helps me when going into properties and then permissions and adding full control doesn't work. If THAT doesn't work, Google for the free program Unlocker. Be sure to set a restore point before you delete stuff, just in case. No, we shouldn't mess with system files but there are times when it is necessary.
