The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Multimedia NOT working on Toshiba A100, VISTA

    i installed on the proper drivers for my laptop from the
    www.toshiba.ca/support website

    updated the BIOS, and the Fn keys work as well
    but the multimedia keys to the left of the keyboard still dont work.

    do you guys know which drivers must be installed to make it work?
    this is for VISTA home premium..

    also when running windows XP, the multimedia buttons work, but i cannot use the 'play, stop, rewind, forward' buttons for anything other than windows media player.. is there any way to use it for other programs, such as winamp?
