    Hi,
My toshiba satellite laptop quite working a few weeks ago and I thought the battery was no good so I ordered a new one. After waiting 3 weeks for the battery I put it in and it showed 100% charge, the AC adapter was plugged in but after a couple of hours the battery had completely discharged and will not charge so I have no computer again! Could this be a problem with the AC Adapter??? If someone has an idea I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks!

Have you checked for outgoing voltage from the adapter? And does your charging icon change?

Edit: Due to the fact that ac adaptors get tossed around a lot, also check for continuity in the chord. From experience, I had to replace the power supply due to a broken wire which is usually not visible. Didn't need continuity testing for that one, just wiggled it and watched it make and break connection on the charging icon. It would of been repairable if the splice could of been made, but it was right at the load side of the adapter. Their just not meant to be taken apart.
