Hey -
I have a Satellite A350D, three prongs for the adaptor. When it's plugged in to the wall the base of the laptop, especially the mouse click area, is all tingly. Today, though, I got the biggest electric shock from the laptop (seriously, I jumped and yelled). However, on the web it looks like problems with shocks are affecting comps with 2 prongs.
Anyone else getting this problem? Do you think it's worth contacting Toshiba about this??

Get one of those electrical screwdrivers with a neon lamp and check that the ground in the mains socket is not live. Ideally, check the voltages between live, neutral and ground with a multimeter.
Sometimes, buildings can be wired with ground but it isn't properly grounded. Then some appliances can leak power which raises the voltage in the ground circuit because that leakage has nowhere to go.
One test would be to use a 2-pin plug adaptor so that your computer is not connected to the ground. Then, if you still get shocks you can contact Toshiba.

I would definitely send it in because you may be one shock away from either A) cardioverting yourself (unlikely, but still)
B) frying some component on your motherboard
My laptop's shocking me...
