OK, thinking of buying an N router for my laptop (currently using G). There are "N" routers, "dual channel N" routers, and god knows what else. Plus it's still a PRE-N standard last I heard.
The wifi in my machine comes up as intel wifi Link 4965agn in control panel, and I'm just wondering which of the N options it supports.
Am searching Intel's site for more info as well.
THANKS

The Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN product is an embedded 802.11a/b/g/Draft N¹ PCIe* Mini Card network adapter card that operates in both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz spectrum, delivering high throughput and a host of features that enhance today's mobile lifestyle.
OK, so according to this, my card supports both 2.5 and 5.0ghz frequencies. Does this mean I NEED a dual channel router to get the fastest support, or is this more for running other options (say multiple machines, etc).
I only have one wireless device on my network most of the time. -
found this at Intel, so I'm posting it for others. Might be worth looking at before buying an N router -

I'd go with the Linksys WRT310N or WRT610N, simply because they either support (310) or will support (610) the DD-WRT Linux firmware project. The 610 is dual band and has more memory. It probably wasn't available when the above compatibility list was written but it should work fine.

I bought a D-Link DGL-4500 router for my X205 and it works great. I like its built in OLED screen, and it gets great range too.

I bought this TrendNet Wireless N Router before I got my X205-SLi1 and it works like a charm. Most stable router I've ever owned.
Rumor has it that it has the internals of a D-Link and even shares the user interface for less $ than the D-Link.
