I'm asking this question here because all of you are using the same netbook as me. Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you are getting the low battery warning beep at around 10% battery life. I can't seem to disable it, I have checked to make sure all alarms were turned off and even muted the pc speaker with no change. It's not that bad but the sound is so annoying and I would like to be able to disable it. I'm running windows xp home on it and have already tried a clean install (not recovery disc's) Any ideas?
Thanks

I got rid of my Toshiba this week.
Except for the great battery life and Trackpad size, the Samsung NC10 is better in every way and it is no slouch with battery either.
The screen, speaker and keyboard are better to me.
The plastics and sturdiness are much better too.
The speaker in the Sammy is audible which may be pathetic but at least you can hear it.
The Trackpad, though bigger has terrible sensitivity and feel compared to most others I have tried.
I sold my NC10 to my folks but I think I will be getting another one.

First, in response to the above question about the low-power alarm, I can only suggest making sure you've disabled it in both the Control Panel settings for Power Management and the Toshiba power management settings.
Secondly, my perceptions of the NB200 (Eurasian version of NB205). I've been using it almost daily for over a month now, including travel and now work (I'm a science teacher), and find it a great netbook. It's my first netbook, but I compared it with several side-by-side and it came out on top in most regards. Great keyboard and very snappy with 2GB ram and a few tweaks - disabled several services (indexing, paging executive, pagefile, etc.) and enabled large system cache - I found the guide over at http://kadaitcha.cx/performance.html very good. The system is incredibly responsive and has been stable, though that could be expected from any comparable netbook. I find it perfectly usable for 90% of the work I do, nothing graphics intensive of course. Also, the screen was the brightest of all netbook screens I compared it to and the keyboard and trackpad are excellent. The speaker bites, but is fine for Skype calls when I'm at home. Can't say if it's the best netbook, but a very usable one. Though now with lightweight 11.6" CULVs becoming available, there's more to choose from for a slight increase in price. One thing I was not able to get working in what I would consider a usable form was Ubuntu, but a tweaked XP has been fine.
