Hey guys, im planning on ordering a new toshiba A130/135 laptop tonight but I have some questions about the video card. It says I have the 256 Dedicated Nvidia card 7600, but I have been doing some reading here on the forums, and people are talking about 128 bus speed? or 64? Im confused...when it says that 256 dedicated, i interpret it as not shared with the system, just 256 mb used for graphics. am I right? I bought a laptop about a week ago and returned it because right after I installed Counter-Strike source, it lagged so bad and I only got 11 fps with the Nvidia 1650 card, which was horrible because it used shared memory. I dont want to make the same mistake again! Any information would be helpful! thanks again guys!

The memory is dedicated 256MB, what people were referring to was the width of the bus (64-bit or 128-bit, apparently)--that is, how much data the video card could input/output at a time.

Sorry I didn't see this yesterday, I have that laptop with the 1.66 Core2Duo, 1GB Ram, and the Nvidia Geforce 7600 Go. It plays HL2 Deathmatch fine. I also played Lost Coast with HDR turned on and it was fine. Oh I've also played Battlefield 2142, that works fine on medium settings. UT2004 everything maxed at 1280x800 4x aa af 70fps average. Battlefield 2142 pushs it pretty hard, as does Lost Coast but CS should play nicely.
