    or

    click on link downloads

    www.toshiba.com

select your model and u will find the drivers that work with the original configuration, if u downgraded to windows xp then you can search in the spain site for a model that is the same as yours.

    http://es.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=ES

its easy just drop down and read u dont even need to know what everything else says.

I think Airmanpanther is talking about this: [IMG]

9800ish 3dmark06 scores seem pretty low for this configuration although the p8400 can be overclocked to 2.6 stable. I've got as much as 11600 with CPU overclocked. [IMG]

One of the reasons that I'm thinking the driver support is inadequate is because Nvidia SLI detection tool does not recognise the Q706 as having SLI enabled

Has anyone been able to get an answer about why the 706 Toshibas are not reporting as SLI? I sent a question in to Toshiba about it, but, no answer yet, and its been a few weeks. I don't own one currently, but the complete functionality of the sli is one of the deciding factors between this and a 725 msi.

    "Hybrid SLI Technology
NVIDIA Hybrid SLI® technology combines the graphics processing power of the GeForce 9400M G motherboard GPU with a second GeForce GPU to increase the visual and gaming performance and extend the battery life of your notebook."
    http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/geforce_9400m_g_mgpu_uk.html

I think thats what is going on with the Q706, the benchmarking score just don't add up to dual 9800m gts. RivaTuner 2.22 shows the second GPU as an unattached device which suggests that there is no driver support for the second GPU sli functionality. Even Nvidia system tools system details reports 9400m g sli. Nvidia sli zone detection tool reports sli is not enabled. One of the 9800m gts's is always 3-4 degrees celsius hotter than the other.

The question is, will we ever get drivers support for dual 9800m gts sli, which is what we thought we were paying for? It still runs games pretty good, but my decision to purchase this laptop was based on dual 9800m gts functionality.

I doubt that we will ever have dual 9800m gts functionality, it will always be a combination of 9400m g motherboard gpu and 1 9800m gts. What good is having 2 9800m gts's--marketing gimmick?
