Hi all,
I've had this problem ever since I got my notebook (like 4 months ago), but recently it's been annoying me enough so that I had to do something about it. What happens is, I'll connect to a wireless access point and the signal will seem fine. But then, the signal quality will deteriorate over a period of time (anywhere between like 30 seconds and 30 minutes). If the signal is fairly strong (like at my fav. coffeeshop) then it'll usually stay connected and I'll just lose throughput. If the signal is pretty weak to begin with, however, I will lose connection altogether. This problem can be fixed (temporarily) by switching the wireless off, then on again, but this can be very irritating if I lose connection every minute or two.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I should also note...I borrowed a friend's PCMCIA Wireless card yesterday and have been using that card without issue since then -- so the issue does seem to be specific to the M50's wireless hardware and not certain access points or my system more generally.

I've noticed this too on my dad's Qosmio. However, since out Wi-Fi router is pretty old, we think that's the problem - We're going to try getting a newer router and see how that works out.

Yikes, that sucks. So far, the wireless card in my M55 is performing flawlessly, hope it stays that way.
