I have an A215 laptop, and when I try to play like an mp3 or wma file with zoom player, there is no sound. When I try to play it with WMP, it says there is an error. It says this with the music that came in the music folder with windows, so it's not a corrupt download or anything. When I play streaming music online it works, so I know it's not the driver or speakers. Thanks for the help.

Figured it out, I right clicked on the icon in the tray, and it said speaker enhancements were causing problems and I disabled them and now it works.

Oh right, that seems rather unusual - glad you got it working though!
