    I'm considering to buy a toshiba A50-522 or M30-861.
I'll use it mainly for Office and Internet (surfing not P2P), but I'm sure my childrens ask me for a play or two.

    ¿What is the best choice?
¿The newest chipset of the A50 model can suply the best graphic adapter of the m30?

    many thanks![:I]

I'd go with the M30, mainly because of the graphics adapter. The GPU on the A50 is an integrated video controller with shared video memory. These are not the best for heavy graphics or games. Even though the GPU will play some games, it will generally be slower and not suited for the lastest games on the market. The same goes for any graphical applications. With shared video memory, it takes away from system memory and allocates to video. A system with 512MB ram and 64MB of video memory, will only leave approx 448MB of ram for the computer to use. Also, it utilizes CPU resources as well, therefore decreasing overall system performance. The M30 has dedicated video memory & better GPU and therefore will perform much better.
