I have an A300 which is similar. I seriously doubt you will get 3 hours out of the 6 cell. I usually get a bit over an hour (I have 2 hard drives and a ATI mobility 3650 graphics card). I don't play games but it works well for video production. I also have a T8300 2.4 ghz processor.

My experience with tech support is not good. They did handle a repair through their outsourced repair depot quickly and efficiently.

Actually the S6916 has a 9cell battery. I own the S6898(same 6000mAh battery) and I can get around 3 hours(never checked the time exactly, but sometimes I get a "click or two" more than 3hs), power saver scheme, only browsing and .doc editing.

Toshiba is the only major manufacturer that lists realistic battery life figures for their products. They use MobileMark 2007, which is a legitimate battery life test. For the A305-S6916 it shows 3:03. Using some power saving settings could probably extend that a bit.
