Does this forum deal with netbooks? I'm trying to get a Toshiba NB100 to connect to a small Windows network, and as usual when I try anything with Linux, Ubuntu has me totally confused.

Basically, I have set up the wireless networking with the wep key, but I can't even ping the router.

EDIT: Oops. Having gone through all the settings again and rebooted the machine, I can now see the router, the internet and the shared files on the Windows 2000 machine on the network. I can see the Vista and XP machines, but none of the shared directories on them. They are all running NTFS file systems to work with a Windows Home Server. This is probably now a Linux/Samba question and doesn't belong here, but grateful for any suggestions.

I specifically bought this machine because it was cheap and would force me to stick with Linux instead of giving up as in the past N tries. So this problem isn't a problem so much as a challenge. :)
