I really wanted one of these but I honestly believe Toshiba goes all out to make access to buying one of these as hard as they can. Best Buy is NOT the best place to buy laptops with BB's crappy 1 year warranty. I want some Toshiba international warranty goodness.

More on point, what's the diff between this and the Q502?

Vaporware is a piece of software or hardware thaat's been announced with no actual release date in sight. The Qosmio F55-Q503 was announced back in mid-July and still hasn't been released nearly three months later. Now the Q504 is in the line-up and who knows when that'll be out?

By the way, here are some differences between the Q502 and Q504:
    RAM: 3GB (Q502) vs 4GB (Q504)
WLAN: Atheros BGN (Q502) vs Intel ABGN (Q504)
    Bluetooth: None (Q502) v2.1 + EDR (Q504)

In the end, it's too little too late in my opinion.

Yes... but the odd thing is it appears to have been on sale for a while then they withdrew it... Maybe it wasn't profitable (I couldn't find similar specs for that price anywhere)

On the Toshiba Model Selector site they have the F55-Q504 - Q5041 and Q506 listed but no specs for the Q506.

I am glad I was able to purchase my F55-Q502 back in late July from BestBuy when they first came out. I have upgraded mine with an Intel Extreme X9100 if I can get my hands on a Nvidia 9800M GTX from the X300 I plan on putting that in there too replacing the stock 9700M GTS. God Bless :)

You were both very lucky indeed... I'm amazed a company would discontinue their products so fast (not to mention they could outsell most if not all the other brands)

Pretty strong machine - I really like the 9700m GTS. Paired with a p8400 makes a Gateway FX calibre gaming rig (not taking upgrades inot account).

The only F55 in Canada has the 9200m - BARF!
