Im getting a new Hard drive for my laptop this saturday, i hope i find a good 7200rpm though, but i guess it'll most likely be a 5400rpm model, still way better than the 4200rpm i'm sitting on
anyways, i got a vista hp recovery dvd, will it work on my new hard drive too?
because theres a hidden partition on my HD which has taken up 1.5gb of space, is that the recovery software? won't i lose them when i put in a new hd? or will the recovery cd work normally with the new hd?

The recovery disk will work just fine, just don't forget to back up anything else you want to keep before you change it out.
