I don't believe you can upgrade the processor, at least not easily.

Express Media Player allows you to listen to a CD or watch a DVD without booting into Windows. You can read about it in the manual that came with the laptop.

It does not look like express media is useful to you. This machine does not appear to have external media buttons. probably why it is not in the manual.

got it to work. you have to press the express media button to engage it.

    1. put a dvd in drive
    2. turn pc off or hibernate
    3. press the EMP button not power button

    TA DA!!

thanks for all you help i found the tutorial on Toshiba's website after Asking Iris and 30min of searching.

    Thanks again!

the computer wont recognize any wireless networks, even though i know there is one around because im using my old laptop right next to the a105 and its pickin up the net just fine

On the right side of the computer.

It does have media buttons on the left from the keyboard.
