    Hi,

I just bought this Tecra and after a few hours with SETI the temperature of CPU reported by Core Temp reaches 80*C (after a few minutes 70*C)! For me it seems much too high. It's the first C2D notebook I've tested so far so maybe I'm wrong and such temperatures are OK. Anybody any comments?

80C is quite a high temperature. Des the notebook feel hot around where the processor is. Also, try using a few different temperature monitoring programs. Some will report some weird temperatures for some reason. Hope this helps.

Everest shows similar temps. At the moment 79/81*C. A case near air exhaust is quite hot (center-left side) and the air also. The only werid thing is with voltages - cpu-z 1.25V (seems right), Everest 1,36V (probably just the max voltage for theh cpu model).
I'm going to install NHC and try to play with voltages, maybe it will help. Also will try it in idle/not so stressfull work.

    Anybody with Tecra A8 T5600?

Edit: Now idling: 1GHz (6x166), 0,95V (cpu-z, everest shows 1.06V) and 45/45*C. Fan is slowly working. Not too high again???
